Our recipe has been tried, tested and tweaked over the last few months and we think we&#8217;ve finally cracked it.<\/h5>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-874\" src=\"https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Snack_Hummous01.jpg\" alt=\"happy hummous recipe\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Snack_Hummous01.jpg 640w, https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Snack_Hummous01-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Our happy hummous recipe takes 10 minutes to make and you can tuck in as soon as it&#8217;s been blended. All you need are things to eat it with. You can use canned chickpeas or dried ones &#8211; just make sure you soak them overnight and boil them thoroughly. For busy Londoners, we&#8217;ve used canned chickpeas. We&#8217;ve also cheated slightly and we&#8217;ve used tahini.<\/p>\n<h5 class=\"p1\">Ingredients<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>2 cans of chickpeas<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 lemon<\/li>\n<li>1 pinch Himalayan Sea Salt<\/li>\n<li>A pinch of cracked black pepper<\/li>\n<li>2 heaped tbsp tahini<\/li>\n<li>6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1 clove of garlic, finely chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5 class=\"p1\">Method<\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li>Save 1\/4 can of the water that the chickpeas were in.<\/li>\n<li>Rinse the chickpeas thoroughly and pour them into a bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Add all the other ingredients and blend until smooth. If required, add a tablespoon at a time of the chickpea water.<\/li>\n<li>Taste as you go, adding pepper or extra virgin olive oil as you go until it&#8217;s as desired.<\/li>\n<li>Serve immediately or store covered in the fridge. Eat within 3 days.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"p1\">It&#8217;s really important to use good quality ingredients in this. Each one can be tasted and each makes a difference. For example, there&#8217;s nothing better than the peppery taste of good extra virgin olive oil.
