During the event we learned how to think more creatively, use the power of persuasion to our advantage and we learned that dancing can improve feelings of depression, plus so many more helpful and interesting pieces of advice. Sarah used the example of Play-doh. Originally created as a wallpaper cleaner (as burning coal left a thin layer of soot in the room) sales were in decline after coal was replaced with wood, as well as the invention of vinyl paper which meant walls could be wiped down with water and soap. Knowing the company was in financial trouble, a relative bought a bunch of the wallpaper cleaner for her primary school pupils to use to make Christmas decorations. The children loved playing with the wallpaper cleaner so much so that the company decided to create Play-Doh. The same product, but with added colours and without the cleaning detergent! Take the example of a child believing in the monster under the bed. It is so simple, but by just checking with that child, you are reassuring them and this enables them to know that nothing is there. This gives them security and allows them to feel safe.<\/li>\n<li>Identify fears and make a safe space.<\/li>\n<li>See the view you&#8217;re trying to take on. Bearing in mind there are hundreds of possibilities in most situations, getting up and moving helps us to think, especially if you are blocked. They often revealed hidden desires or fears, it was so interesting. I told him about my recurring dream of war and he told me it was about identity.
