A short walk from the hustle and bustle of busy Oxford Street, tucked away at the end of the almost Dickensian Warren Mews, lies The Stables and the beautiful subterranean space that is the Pfeffer Sal experience.<\/p>\n

As soon as I descended the steps through the huge stable door, I felt the stress of the city slip away.  Sinking into an easy chair, I took a sip on the complementary water which is purified through a bamboo charcoal filter system and soaked up the wonderfully calm, quiet and minimalist space.<\/p>\n

My therapist Raluca, greeted me with a warm smile, glowing complexion, and an iPad.  As soon as the very comprehensive digital questionnaire is complete, Raluca led me to the treatment room, and talked me through the pioneering treatment and selection of skin care brands she would be using on me,  that have been sourced from around the globe.<\/p>\n

GLOW AND GO<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The signature Go and Glow facial promises to restore your outer glow in sixty minutes flat.  It\u2019s suitable for all skin types and perfect for thirsty and dehydrated skin and will plump and brighten your complexion.<\/p>\n

Following a double cleanse and facial massage, Raluca applied a delicious blueberry peel, which gently lifts the dead cells, and cleans the pours so that your skin can release its natural oils.  She then applied a carefully selected combination of products using hand-blended formulas, rich in vitamin C which helps plump cells and improve the appearance of dull, lacklustre skin.  The focus is on rehydration, delivering a nourishing moisture surge that promises to and genuinely leaves you glowing like an angel!<\/p>\n

As Raluca applied all the different creams, and cleanses and serums, she talked me through each step letting me know how they are nourishing my skin, before giving my face a final boost, with 20 minutes under the light.<\/p>\n

LED phototherapy technology is a non-invasive treatment that accelerates skin renewal by giving tired and dull complexions some much needed revitalisation.   It works by delivering three wavelengths of light simultaneously.  The red light energises cells to boost collagen and elastin production for smoother, firmer skin.  The blue light has anti-bacterial properties which helps to fight blemishes, reduce the appearance of spots and fight future breakouts and the third infra-red light encourages healing and rejuvenation for ageing, sensitive and inflamed skin. <\/p>\n

The combination of blue and red light is incredibly effective at calming inflammation, getting rid of problem-causing bacteria and stimulating the energy function of your mitochondria, which is the powerhouse that fuels your skin cells and their regeneration.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t really notice the light at all.  Raluca left me to rest and enjoy the relaxing music whilst the LED worked its magic.<\/p>\n

Once the treatment was complete, I was encouraged to drink plenty of water, and advised that the treatment would continue working for another five days.<\/p>\n

I left feeling relaxed and revitalised from my urban escape in the Pfeffer Sal clinic of calm.  I am delighted to testify that my skin really benefitted from the treatments as well.  My complexion was noticeably clearer, calmer and brighter and I will definitely be treating my skin to another visit soon.<\/p>\n

FINAL THOUGHTS<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The treatments at Pfeffer Sal really garner results.  If you\u2019re looking for a holistic and naturally based  treat for you skin then I think the Glow and Go facial and LED phototherapy are worth every penny.  Whilst they are more pricey than a regular facial, the results speak for themselves, making it money well spent and above all, an investment in your skin health.<\/p>\n
