Inspired by the delicious offerings on the Eat Wild menu, Healthy Living London asked the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eat-wild.co.uk\/thompson\/\" target=\"_blank\">Thompson Brothers<\/a> to share a healthy recipe; a Healthy Venison Fillet and Wilted Kale Salad. (Grilled vegetables or halloumi can replace the meat for vegetarians!)<\/h5>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3804\" src=\"https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Venison-e1458135575968.jpg\" alt=\"Venison\" height=\"413\" width=\"550\" srcset=\"https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Venison-e1458135575968.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Venison-e1458135575968-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Venison-e1458135575968-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Venison-e1458135575968-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Everyone knows kale is a superfood, it was undeniably the &#8220;trendy&#8221; veg of 2014\/2015 however few people are aware of venison being a superfood! It is the original red meat and has a quarter of the saturated fat of beef, a third of the cholesterol and more protein.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a quick and easy superfood salad&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Ingredients<\/span><br \/>\n3&#8243; long roe fillet<br \/>\nSmall bunch of kale<br \/>\n1 mug of cherry tomatoes<br \/>\n1\/2 mug red onion thinly sliced<br \/>\n2 garlic cloves<br \/>\nKnob of salted butter<br \/>\nRapeseed oil<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Instructions<\/span><br \/>\n1) Set oven at 190\u2103.<br \/>\n2) In a small bowl liberally coat roe fillet with rapeseed oil and sea salt.<br \/>\n3) Put a skillet on a high heat, dry.<br \/>\n4) Whilst the pan is heating, with your hands tear the kale (minus the stems) into small bite sized pieces.<br \/>\n5) Mince your garlic.<br \/>\n6) Sear each end of your roe fillet I the skillet before searing both sides.<br \/>\n7) Transfer fillet to baking tray in oven for about 7 1\/2 minutes, this will achieve rare, leave for longer if you would prefer the meat less pink.<br \/>\n8) Turn skillet heat down to medium and add rapeseed oil, butter, garlic, kale, halved tomatoes and season with salt and pepper, and saut\u00e9 for no more than 1 minute.<br \/>\n9) Whilst saut\u00e9ing the greens, allow the steak to rest for a few minutes.<br \/>\n10) Slice the fillet on the oblique and combine in the bowl with onions, greens, and all the juices.<br \/>\n11) Dress with more rapeseed oil if required.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy eating wild!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why not pair your meal with a Cucumber Cooler by Eat Wild&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3803\" src=\"https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image1-e1458136393758.jpg\" alt=\"image1\" height=\"500\" width=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image1-e1458136393758.jpg 2448w, https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image1-e1458136393758-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image1-e1458136393758-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Ingredients<\/span><br \/>\n2 tbsp. fresh peas<br \/>\n2 tsp. lemon juice<br \/>\n1 tsp. sugar<br \/>\n1 mint sprig<br \/>\n2 oz. vodka<br \/>\n4 oz. cucumber juice<br \/>\nIce<br \/>\nSparkling water<\/p>\n<p>Cucumber slices, mint and peas to garnish<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Instructions<\/span><br \/>\nMuddle peas, lemon juice, sugar and mint.<br \/>\nAdd to a cocktail shaker with the vodka, cucumber juice and ice.<br \/>\nShake vigorously until well chilled.<br \/>\nStrain into a glass, top with the sparkling water and garnish.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>*Health Advice: If you are concerned about allergies, please consult with your doctor.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Healthy Living London&#8217;s Hannah and Lucinda met Eat Wild&#8217;s Will and Calum at an event in London recently and were so impressed that they headed to the Eat Wild restaurant [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":3804,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_genesis_hide_title":false,"_genesis_hide_breadcrumbs":false,"_genesis_hide_singular_image":false,"_genesis_hide_footer_widgets":false,"_genesis_custom_body_class":"","_genesis_custom_post_class":"","_genesis_layout":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[1,16],"tags":[4,70,43,11,262,36,35],"class_list":["post-3802","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-nutrition-and-food-for-healthy-living-in-london","category-healthy-living-recipes","tag-healthy","tag-healthy-eating","tag-healthy-eating-london","tag-healthy-food","tag-healthylivinglondon","tag-recipe","tag-veg","entry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Healthy Venison Fillet and Wilted Kale Salad by Eat Wild<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Eat Wild has shared a recipe with Healthy Living London; a Healthy Venison Fillet and Wilted Kale Salad by Eat Wild.
