Mavis&nbsp;leads her class with authority, clear examples and direction and attention to all her clients.&nbsp;Her energy and enthusiasm is inspiring, encouraging one to work hard during her class. Mavis&#8217;&nbsp;passion for what she does is obvious&nbsp;and I recommend joining in with her class as a healthy start to 2016!<\/h5>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Tell us about yourself.<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m a little girl living in an adult&#8217;s body, a free-spirit whose passion for fitness is addictive.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Where\/when did your personal wellness journey begin?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18 years ago&nbsp;when I started competing in amateur physique competitions then I started training contestants and I\u2019ve never looked back.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">What is Orangetheory?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Orangetheory is made for all fitness levels. It\u2019s a high intensity interval training (HIIT) session led by a personal trainer along with a heart-rate monitor that tracks your progress through the session. The templates are already designed by a conditioning specialist and an exercise physiologist which take the pressure off prescribing your own, it gives you the chance to really focus on coaching all fitness levels while still personalizing it for the members in need.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">What are the advantages of incorporating Orange training into your daily life and what are its effects on the female body?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Avoiding plateau and the gaining the \u201cEPOC AFFECT\u201d(excess post-exercise oxygen consumption) when your body continuously burns calories after a strenuous activity. This process along with a healthy diet streamlines the female body.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">What do you love most about your job?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I enjoy explaining the science behind the workout. The 5 zone science which are: resting heart rate (grey zone), active recovery (blue zone), base pace (green zone, challenging but doable), push pace (orange zone, uncomfortable) and all out (red zone, very uncomfortable).<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">What can someone expect from a class with you?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Energy, fun, direction and knowledge.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">What has been your biggest challenge so far?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Teaching a large group as I\u2019ve always been a one on one trainer.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">What is your inspiration for being such a huge part of Orange?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The results!<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Have there been any disasters\/funny moments?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some members not knowing how to properly use the treadmill even after you\u2019ve gone through a tutorial. I believe in eating a natural protein, it breaks down faster.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">When you have an off (unhealthy) day\/s, how do you motivate yourself to get back on track?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Detox on greens and start over the next day.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Who is your health\/fitness\/nutrition muse?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The creator of Orangetheory Ellen Latham because she created the ULTIMATE workout!<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Where is your favourite London wellness spot (fitness\/wellbeing\/nutrition)?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hot pod yoga in Hackney, Lizy Whitings session.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Who has had a big influence on your life and what have they taught you?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My husband, he taught me patience and calm.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">How do you manage your life\/fitness\/health balance?
