Yes, you heard right, lettuce. It&#8217;s fresh and clean and there&#8217;s always leftover lettuce in fridges so there&#8217;s no excuse for not having any in your fridge.<\/h5>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1146 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Smoothie_PearSpinachLettuce.jpg\" alt=\"Pear, Spinach and Lettuce Smoothie\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Smoothie_PearSpinachLettuce.jpg 640w, https:\/\/healthylivinglondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Smoothie_PearSpinachLettuce-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>Choose a really ripe, juicy pear for maximum flavour. The spinach adds to the &#8216;greenness&#8217; and bulk and is a wonderful source of iron. You can either use fresh spinach or frozen &#8211; both work just as well. If you also fancy adding a bit of zing, squeeze in half a lime.
