This little package of luxuary from RAWE Sugar Co.<\/a> could not have arrived at a better time as I hunker down in my tiny flat with my husband and our dog on the instruction of the Government. My biggest concern right now isn\u2019t whether or not my husband and I will have moments of tension. But rather that our 1 year old dog Loki will stink the place out. For someone who weighs less than 4kg he not only creates a disproportionate amount of chaos around the house, he also farts like a trooper. If anything is going to make lockdown unbearable it\u2019s dog farts.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Unpacking my lovely little delivery from RAWE Sugar Co. I felt like I was really treating myself. Beautifully wrapped, these little jewels of wax smelt amazing even before I\u2019d popped them in my wax burner. As they burned, layers of scent diffused into the air at different times, making the whole experience feel really indulgent. They felt like the perfect antidote to a day of chasing the news and wondering when toilet roll became such a hot commodity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An alternative to candles? <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been big into candles for as long as I can remember (they also cover up dog smells). But what really sets RAWE Sugar Co\u2019s wax melts apart is that they\u2019re so affordable (my taste in scented candles may be a little fancy). They are also free from the nasty chemicals that some scented candles can produce. When you\u2019re inside all day every day it\u2019s not nice to think that\u00a0 you\u2019re filling your air with nasties. It\u2019s lovely to know I have an option that is a little kinder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obviously to use wax melts you need to use a wax burner. I\u2019ve been using a more traditional burner with a tealight, but RAWE Sugar Co.\u2019s wax melts can be used with an electric heater, meaning that they don\u2019t pose any fire risk, which is always reassuring. One thing you should watch out for when using wax melts is spilt wax. Don\u2019t move the burner while it contains melted wax, things will get messy (my husband learnt this the hard way).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
